Save the Date for a Major Night

The third "Major Night for a Major Cause," a gala event benefitting the Major Hospital Foundation, will take place November 13, 2010 at Indiana Downs. Mark your calendars now!

The popular event will be chaired by sisters Susan Kent and Carrie Pumphrey this year, and the two are busily making plans to create another spectacular evening. Dinner and dancing to the music of the Gust Spenos Quartet are definitely on the agenda, and Susan and Carrie promise that a "Major Good Time" will be had by all!





What Else is New?


It's springtime in the Healing Garden! Glass artist Preston Karns has been busy this winter creating whimsical bits of color in all sizes. These tiny glass butterflies sit atop a rock to the side of the Spirit Garden, and more of them will perch there soon....read more.


 

 

 


Visitors to Benesse Oncology Center are greeted with the soothing sound of trickling water and a new view now that the donor wall has been installed at Benesse. The center panel is a sheet of natural slate engraved with the Benesse logo and text expressing thanks to Benesse donors from Benesse and the Foundation. The slate is capped at the top and bottom with copper, and water flows over the face of the slate. Donor names (unless anonymity is requested) are listed on the acrylic panels on either side. It's beautiful!
