Giving Societies
  Quick Links
Giving Societies are a way to recognize donors who give special gifts to help support priority areas of the Foundation's mission. The Major Hospital Foundation has three of these giving societies.

The Raymond Compton Society- permanent gifts providing charity care to those in need. Donors to the Major Hospital Foundation who make endowed gifts of $1,000 or more for charity care at Major Hospital are eligible for membership in the Raymond Compton Society. These gifts are added to the Raymond Compton Trust where the principal is preserved in perpetuity. The income from the trust is used to pay hospital bills for patients in need.

Financial circumstances should not be a barrier to good health. Unfortunately, today's rising healthcare costs often make people afraid to seek necessary healthcare. Members of the Raymond Compton Society can help remove the barrier of cost for patients in need. Click here to download a brochure.

The Marian McFadden Society - permanent gifts providing for state-of-the-art patient care. Donors to the Major Hospital Foundation who make endowed gifts of $1,000 or more for capital improvements are eligible for membership in the Marian McFadden Society. These gifts are added to the Marian McFadden Trust where the principal is preserved in perpetuity. The income from the trust is used for equipment, technology and/or hospital building projects.

Members of the Marian McFadden Society understand the importance of making sure that patients will always have state-of-the-art care at Major Hospital! Click here to download a brochure.

The William S. Major Society - leaving a legacy to support healthcare at Major Hospital. Donors who remember the Major Hospital Foundation or Major Hospital in their wills are eligible for membership in the William S. Major Society. Supporting healthcare in Shelby County is an important and worthy endeavor, and it's easy to accomplish with either a simple will or an elaborate estate plan.

A good local hospital strengthens the county's economy and improves the health and well-being of its residents. Members of the William S. Major Society can leave that legacy for our community. Click here for downloadable brochure.end section
